86 GLHS #107
My 86 Shelby Glhs #107.  I bought this car in fall off 99. When I picked it up the head was in the trunk, and I got a disassembled turbo in a box.  I cleaned up the head, installed a new turbo, and put it back together.  It is running now, and moves out pretty good, but I still have a few bugs to work out.  Look for this car cruisin northern IL.
My car took second place in the fwd class at the Sandie McKee Dodge  Mopar car show in June of 2000
500 GLHS Omni's were built in 1986, all were black with gray interiors, the only options available were a roll cage and an oil cooler.  These are true Shelby cars, shipped to his factory in Whittier, Ca where a different turbo, intake and intercooler were installed under the hood.  With 175 hp on tap and 175 lb/ft of torque, bigger tires on Shelby "Centurion" wheels were required.  Koni shocks and struts keep the car glued to the road when your hanging on the leather steering wheel and shift knob.  The dash features a plaque with the car number and Shelby's signature.
